The living hell

Auschwitz is a place that terryfies one who do not know the reality of mankind when war breaks off.For more understanding of the concentration camp, I recommend one to read up on the book entitled Night by Elie Wiesel.
In the nutshell,the book records the frightening events Elie Wiesel face during his time at Auswitz when he was a teenager.At such a tender age,he saw his family members die one after another and the absolute evil of a man.Through his book,I can feel the intensity going through every Jews as they face the selection where their destinyof life and death is being decided by the officer.In a harsh time like this,it is where one's true character surfaces.Some of the youngsters did not bother about their father's life just to ensure that their own life was not at stake;while others betrayed their race by hanging fellow Jews ,who commited sins,just for an extra ration of bread and soup.
Auschwitz impacted me greatly as I have visited the concentration camp while travelling overseas with my family to eastern europe.In one of the blocks,they showcase the hair which was shave off from the Jews to be made into socks.I feel poignant for these people who were decieved into leading to a better life when they were actually entering into living hell.The poison chamber in which they poison the small and the weak show signs of suffering as there were scratches formed by the kids while they were inhaling the gas.Even the lavatory was probably the worst it can ever get.With only a mere 25 seconds to answer nature calls per day was an impossible task for many.To make things worst,it was open air and there was no privacy as both gender share a common toilet.
Auschwitz is a place where one would never imagine of its existence.I hope that history shall not repeat itself and that the coutries of the world would continue to stay on good terms.War is purely a stupid way to solve matters in my opinion and without it,all will be well. the time is right;
